We are very excited to welcome Dakota Nelson to her new role with the Treaty Department at Wei Wai Kum.
Dakota brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to advocating for our Nation. Her perspective, energy, and dedication will support many of the self-government initiatives currently underway.
A message from Dakota:
My name is Dakota Nelson, I am Musgamagw Dzawada’enuxw from Kingcome Inlet and Tahltan from Telegraph Creek. I have recently finished the first year of the JD/JID Joint Degree Program in Canadian Common Law and Indigenous Legal Orders at the University of Victoria.
I will be joining the Treaty team as a Treaty Legal Intern to help support work with the Constitution and other agreements.
