Expression of Interest: Contract Services–Governance & Public Relations Support

We are seeking a qualified individual to express interest in providing contract support in the areas of Governance Readiness and Public Relations. This short-term engagement (with an option to renew) will support critical projects under the direction of the Treaty and Intergovernmental Relations office.

This Expression of Interest is intended to identify potential individuals with relevant expertise who are available to undertake contract work in a flexible, responsive capacity.

Scope of Work

The contractor will support:

  • PR & Communications: Develop media tools and assist with a nation-wide campaign.
  • Governance Coordination: Help with treaty readiness and interdepartmental planning.
  • Policy Support: Contribute to treaty documentation and funding-related liaison work.

Qualifications:

  • Communications: Skilled in creating public messaging and working with consultants.
  • Governance & Treaty: Knowledge of Indigenous governance and treaty policy.
  • Intergovernmental Relations: Experience coordinating with government partners and supporting negotiations.

Term and Compensation

  • Term: Eight (8) months with the potential for renewal
  • Hours: Approx. 50 hours/month (flexible)
  • Rate: Please propose your hourly rate based on experience
